Well, the gloves may be coming off in the Mcartney-Mills split.  What a shame, I thought this couple might actually make it, but apparently things may get ugly in a battle over Paul’s estimated 1.5 billion dollar estate.  Sir Paul has reportedly hired the same lawyer to represent him who represented Prince Charles in his divorce from Diana, especially since he does not have a prenup (which I think was very honorable). 

The fur started to fly a little when reports started coming out about Heather Mills “gossiped” past about high class prostitution when she was in her twenties.  Heather adamantly denies this claim, and Paul publicly defended her, both saying it was rubbish, but some speculated that Mcartney “people” may have let the story leak in an effort to discredit Heather and tarnish her image. 

While no conclusive proof has ever come out about Heather’s past, I’m certain the accusations hurt - I mean, they’re serious!  Heather and Paul cited the pressure of living under the big lens of the paparazzi as a major reason for their separation, but did not rule out a reconciliation.  Until now, Paul has just filed for divorce from Heather.

It has now come out that Paul believes his estranged wife is acting irrationally and being argumentative, making things harder in the split.   She supposedly responded saying she regrets he would air such personal info when their 2 year girl Beatrice is involved.  I hope these two work it out peacefully. 

Reportedly Mel Gibson may have been a little more than drunkenly beligerant in his DUI arrest this past Friday, some reports are saying he went on a rant about Jews and how they’ve started all the wars in this world.  He even went so far as to ask the arresting officer if he were Jewish. 

Mel was pulled over lated Saturday morning under suspicion of driving impaired and blew over the legal limit. 

Of course it was all over the news, and Mel came out with a public statement, apologizing for his rude behavior, saying he was acting completely out of control and saying things which he did not believe to be true.  How embarrassing.  These stars truly do pay a price for being famous. 

Just the fact that you have to take the offensive immediately, to keep your reputation is pretty challenging.  An investigation is ongoing to see if officers treated Gibson preferentially due to his celebrity status, but it seems as though they are reluctant to give any information. 

In this case, I say good - Mel seems like a good enough guy - he apologized and knows he was wrong - why drag this out?

On the set of Lindsay’s new movie, Georgia Rule, the studio head, a 70 year old man of Morgan Creek Productions is reportedly not happy with Linsday Lohan’s spoiled and irresponsible behavior, as a letter obtained on thesmokinggun.com implies. 

The studio head reportedly wrote a letter to Linsday and her peeps that he does not appreciate her numerous late arrivals on the set, irresponsible behaviors and divalike attitude.  He said that her behavior was affecting the cast and jeapordizing the  movie.  He promised that if her behavior continued, he would be forced to kick her off the movies and pursue full damages if he had to do that. 

The movie also stars Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman, and has Lohan playing - get this - a trouble teen (how fitting).  He further stated that he did not believe her recent reason of heat exhaustion for leaving the set, and instead said it was her heavy partying. 

This guys got some cajones! Good for him, she needs to know her stardom could end any day, especially if no one wants to work with her.  Hollywood is fickle Lindsay, get your act together and realize this isn’t gonna last forever, and you could be working at McDonald’s in five years….

Gillian Anderson, who we all know (at least me, an avid X File fan would like to think you know), played agent Dana Scully to David Duchovney’s Fox Mulder, is having a baby with her new boyfriend, a businessman named Mark Griffiths.

In the new age of celebrity obsession, it seems pregnancy is now the latest “must have” accessory for many Hollywood stars with and without little ones already at home.

Pregnancy and children used to be considered career suicide in Hollywood.  But now we have the pop culture coined “baby bump”, “bump watch”, and other cutesy-trendy phrases to describe the public’s obsession with who’s pregnant, who’s planning on getting pregnant, and who looks suspiciously pregnant in the world of celebrity gossip.

One would almost be able to say that celebrity pregnancy watches have surpassed divorce and breakup watches - almost, but not quite.  The world loves other people’s “dirty laundry”, and a baby is still considered a generally happy occasion for anyone, so I suppose this new obsession is better than the lust for bad news about stars and their fortunes, right?

A growing trend right now is also single motherhood, and the declaration of independence many young actresses, such as Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz, have recently made about the virtues of single motherhood.

More and more actresses are saying no to marriage, and yes to motherhood, which is probably a sign of a growing sense of feminism and independence in Hollywood, and around the world.

Now that women are in the working force, and many times more than capable of financially supporting themselves and a child, single motherhood has become more acceptable.  In Hollywood, single motherhood has become somewhat of a status symbol. Take Angelina Jolie for example.

When before do you remember a single mother being looked upon with respect and envy?  Angelina and other high fashion, beautiful, big name actresses who’ve said no to relationships and yes to mommyhood only increase the public’s hunger for more “celebrity baby news”.

She and other sexy moms like Diane Lane, Shania Twain and other svelte celebs who’ve given birth have also given new meaning to the term “hot mama”.

These women have helped us “regular” women realize that we don’t all have to stop having fun, looking sexy, and dressing young once we’ve had children.  They’ve made motherhood seem sexy, almost like a new beginning or rejuvenation of the spirit and outlook on life.

Some may argue that celebrity mom glorification makes real life mom’s feel inferior and paints an unrealistic picture of ease and happiness in motherhood, what with all the extra help celebs can afford to hire.

I disagree.  I think it’s taught women that we can pursue a career, and have a family.  We can have it all, we just have to work for it.  And who is going to disagree with that?

Well, she had her second shot at half a million dollars, but she blew it - and fairly early on for what others in the house call such a “dangerous player”. Nakomis, the free spirited - sex fetish ball-going, multi haircolored chick of the house, was voted out in a vote of 8 to 2 by her fellow houseguests, saving Diane’s whiny butt from eviction. I think Diane knew the whole time she was safe, but with what seemed like a divided house, you never knew.

Remember all that stuff about Colin Farrell being sued by a woman for him allegedly leaving inappropriate messages for her and stalking her? Well, the woman, Dessarae Bradford, must have known about Colin’s appearance on the Tonight Show last night.

The latest “rumor” in the recent Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra split is that the reason for the separation may be that Dave had cheated on Carmen.  Who would cheat on Carmen Electra?  I mean, isn’t she supposedly one of the most lusted after women right now? 

Jeez, first there was Billy Bob cheating on Angelina, Eric cheating on Halle Berry.  What’s next?  Brad cheating on Angelina?  Come on guys, these women are gorgeous, what is wrong with you?

Former bad boy (we’ll see about that) Fred Durst, of Limp Bizkit has asked his girlfriend, a 21 year old woman named Krista from Rhode Island, to be his wife.  What made the bad boy finally decide to settle down?  Well, per Fred’s MySpace page, he says he met a wonderful woman and is proud to say she said yes to his marriage proposal and be his wife. 

Now here’s something I didn’t know.  Fred has been married before - and get this, he has a 15 year old son!  That means he became a daddy at the young age of 20 years old.  He also has another boy from a previous relationship who is almost five years old now.  Who knew the bad boy had kids?

Limp Bizkit’s frontman met his new lady love Krista Salvatore while he was in Providence RI directing and starring in the new drama The Education of Charlie Banks, which is his first time directing and starring in a film.  Sounds like the Fredster has finally grown up?  He’s come a long way from the Britney Spears incident..

The new Kevin Smith movie Clerks II, a continuation of his tale of two loser friends who work in a convenience store, reportedly just missed getting an NC17 rating, which is the toughest rating to get, even worse than an R by the MPAA. He said that he was “shocked” that the movie got an R rating, adding that some of the content is unlike anything ever shown on screen in cinematic history.
