I guess the weirdest relationship ever has just become official - sort of. Howard K Stern, Anna Nicole Smith’s longtime lawyer and suspiciously affectionate friend and Anna have exchanged vows before God, but have not officially married since no marriage paperwork has actually been filed.
They reportedly exchanged vows on a boat in Nassau. Howard K Stern reportedly claims he is the father of Anna’s new little baby girl, which Larry Birkhead, who first claimed paternity says is not true.
The marriage comes a little over two weeks after Anna Nicole’s son Daniel passed away from a lethal combination of prescription drugs in his system.

Well, not technically. Technically, Dr. Phil, or Phil McGraw as other know him, will not actually be responsible for paying the class action award given to 3 class action lawsuit filers against his various diet supplements that promised you would slim down and didn’t deliver.
The company that actually makes the product will be responsible for the payout, which I believe nears $11 million to disillusioned diet product users who were mad they paid upwards of $100 a month and saw no results on his “guaranteed” diet system.
Dr. Phil will not have to pay a dime though, since he denies any misrepresentation, although he did back the products and promote them in commercials.

Mel Gibson apparently is making some controversial news again, although not on a big scale this time.
The actor who got into some trouble after being arrested for a DUI and making racial slurs against Jewish people made some comments criticizing the Iraq war and commenting that the US civilization may be in trouble and is showing all the signs of a crumbling civilization.
He made the comments at a screening of his new film Apocolypto, where he supposedly slipped in unnoticed as he was wearing a mask and a wig to avoid media. No word yet on how his road to recovery from admitted alcoholism is going.

Diane Sawyer recenlty interviewed the singing sensation Clay Aiken, who has been the subject of tabloid frenzy over his sexuality (is he gay or isn’t he), since he came in second to Ruben Studdard on American Idol back in 2003.
Sure, Clay acts the part and looks the part of a homosexual man, but he has become tired of so much attention being focused on his sexuality instead of his talent that he kind of let Diane Sawyer have it for asking him in an interview. I agree with Clay. While I admit, I am curious about his sexuality, I really don’t care one way or another.
I personally do not happen to be a fan of his music, but if I were, his sexuality would not influence my admiration for his craft at all. I think we’ve become such a hyper sexualized culture that all anyone ever thinks of in Hollywood and entertainment is “who’s sleeping with who” who’s gay, who’s straight, who’s this way sexually and that way, that we’ve lost touch with the important things, like why this person has captured attention in the first place - talent.

Hate to post two Paris stories in one day, but rumor is that Hilton and her ex beau Stavros, may be back at it again after they were seen being cozy with eachother at a party recently. True or false? What do you think? I don’t think they’ll get back together, maybe it was a lapse in judgment they will both realize later - who knows with these kids!

Hate to say “I told you so”, but Paris Hilton’s crappy album has fallen off the charts already, and has only sold about 120,000 copies. Studio execs may not be too happy about this less than stellar performance, since they reportedly spent at least a million dollars on production costs and trasportation/entertainment costs making the album for Ms. Hilton.
Will she make another album? Some are saying it’s doubtful now that any record company would want to back another album by Paris, simply because the debut album performed so poorly.
I have to admit though, I did think it would sell a little more, seeing how Paris puts herself in the public eye as much as possible, but whatever…..she has plenty of other opportunities awaiting her, I’m sure!

Reportedly after Paramount recently “dumped” Tom Cruise after a long 14 year contractual relationship with the actor, they are now eyeballing Brad Pitt to take over the Mission Impossible franchise, after the third installment didn’t do such great box office numbers, despite excellent reviews.
If this due to Tom Cruise’ erratic behavior as of late? Apparently Paramount execs think it might be. Brad would not play the Ethan Hunt character, but would instead play a new operative who’s got some pretty bold moves. He’s the perfect guy for the part, being the pretty boy, chiseled featured stud he is.
No one has really confirmed any of this yet, but it would not surprise me!

The son of J.R.R. Tolkien, Christopher Tolkien, has been working on another unfinished work by the author who passed away when it was unfinished titled “The Children of Hurin”, which includes the elves and hobbits of the LOTR and The Hobbit stories. Does this mean Peter Jackson may be directing another installment?
Lets not jump that far ahead yet, but at least we do know another book is coming out. This is exciting news for the growing legion of LOTR fans, especially since the trilogy of movies directed by Peter Jackson become so popular, as well as commercial hits (and cult hits, an unusual combination today). Here’s to hoping Jackson is inspired to do one more - especially since King Kong was pretty average.

In a public statement made by the increasingly outspoken Elton John, it appear the little “feud” between him and fellow musician George Michael is over. The two openly gay men had a two year feud over a remark that Elton John made about George Michael saying he thinks George Michael is “miserable” and ”he’s quite happy just being at home all the time and I think that’s a waste of talent. There seems to be a deep-rooted unhappiness in his life and it shows on his latest album.”
Well, Elton openly said recently that he and George Michael are now friends again, and he even invited him to stay at his home for a while last year. Elton has been known for making encendiary remarks. He also dissed Madonna for lipsynching and made fun of Taiwan paparazzi in what could be deemed as somewhat controversial terms.
George and Elton actually did a duet “Don’t let the sun go down on me” a while back, and George Michael retaliated Elton’s comments about his life by saying he has rarely spoken to the singer the past several years, and doubts he even knows much about his personal life.

Anna Nicole, stricken by grief for her son Daniel Smith’s death, has reportedly hired out the second autopsy on her son Daniel Smith to determine his cause of death after Bahamian authorities termed his death “unnatural” and “suspicious”.
The blond bombshell has successfully avoided the press so far, reportedly going into seclusion with her new baby girl after everything happened with her son. We do know that the other person that was present in the room at Daniel’s time of death was her attorney Howard K. Stern, whom Smith has always had quite a curious relationship with, to say the least.
She supposedly hired the same coroner who did consultation work on other high profile and high publicity deaths as well, and this second autopsy was ok’d by the original coroner who examined Daniel’s body.
So far the only thing that’s been released about Daniel Smith’s results are that he had antidepressants in his system, and they think they know what killed him, but are awaiting pathology results. It is up to Anna whether she wants to disclose these results to the public.
