My boyfriend and I just watched Scary Movie 4, and this franchise should just call it quits right now.  It couldn’t even be rejuvenated by the Zucker brothers, of Naked Gun fame.  The fourth installment in the Scary Movie series insults our intelligence with grade school humor.  Not good grade school humor either. 

We’re talking the kind of humor where characters walk into walls and get punched and slapped and knocked down an innumerable amount of times throughout the movie, in search of cheap laughs and filler, but it only results in you growing tired of seeing people fall after about 20 minutes of the movie. 

I really liked Scary Movie 1 and 2.  Scary Movie 3 was starting to jump the shark a little, and with 4, they’ve blown my mind with stupidity, and mind you again, not the good kind of stupidity, the kind where you wonder if they are only trying to appeal to the sense of humor of a four year old. 

The franchise is done, people.  This movie made money too.  How, I don’t know.  If I would have paid nine bucks to get into this atrocity, I’d be really mad.
