  • Latest “Lost” Show Not a Disappointment

    February 10th, 2007

The return of one of my favorite shows to watch, “Lost” is here, and it did not disappoint, at least not me!  With the last show of the short “season” (which by the way, annoys me, and many shows are doing this now for some reason after Lost started the trend), being somewhat of a disappointment to me, I was hoping the new episode would have a little more depth to it, some more answers, and indeed it seemed to hint to some answers.

We saw the further character development of Juliet, who I feel is an excellent actress, and am glad that she was given a bigger part this season, or so it seems thus far.  We saw that Juliet has a sister who appears to be terminally ill.  We find out that Juliet’s medical specialty and claim to possible fame and desire by the folks on the island to recruit her, is that she can impregnate ill women and even males (mice that is), who seem to have no hope of ever getting pregnant.

We find out that she successfully impregnated her terminally ill sister, and was subsequently recruited by a new man that we’ve never seen before, and Ethan, whom we now know is dead from the beginning of this season.  The man comes back to recruit Juliet after her ex husband, the only barrier to Juliet coming to work for the research firm, is killed by a bus (which we don’t know, but this is foreshadowed in the beginning of the show).

The mystery deepens when the man who recruits Juliet alludes to the fact that while the research firm is located in Portland OR, it is somehow “not accessible” to anyone.  We are left with that.  It was a great episode, and Juliet was the main focus of this one.  I’m hoping we get some more answers to string us along the hopeless Lost mystery!
