  • Pete Doherty, Kate Moss’ Ex Gets Into More Trouble

    June 1st, 2006

27 year old rocker and frontman of the band Babyshambles, and perhaps more famously, the guy who dated and got dumped by fellow druggie Kate Moss got into trouble again recently.  This time, the singer was on a budget airline EasyJet, to the Spanish city for a performance at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival.

Several passengers noticed that the rocker was in the bathroom for way too long, and when the crew became suspicious and searched the bathroom, they found a bloody syringe, haphazardly covered by a paper towel in the trash.  Apparently Pete was doing smack in the airplane’s bathroom.

Pete reportedly entered the compact stall with a bag but turned up empty-handed after leaving the loo, causing police to detain all 142 passengers on board while the flight crew accounted for all carry-on luggage.

“Unfortunately, members of the Doherty party began throwing their bags around and swapping bags, and would not identify which bags were which,” the EasyJet spokesperson recounted. “They were not being cooperative with the police and they did not seem to be taking the situation seriously.”

My prediction is, this guy will be dead by 35, what’dyou think?

Something I Didn’t Know : Kelly Rowland Rumored to Be Matthew Knowle’s Daughter?

    May 14th, 2006

Assuming you all know Kelly Rowland is the second most famous part of the bootylicious trio Destiny’s Child, I read something I did not know the other day. Kelly is rumored to have been fathered by Beyonce’s dad Matthew. Sure would explain the closeness of this group, huh? Kelly recently stated she had a very rough childhood, which steers us from believing she could have Beyonce’s dad as a father.

Not sure where this rumor started, but it sounds pretty lame to me.

American Idol’s Chris Daughtry New Fuel Lead Singer?

    May 13th, 2006

It’s looking more and more like booted American Idol contender Chris Daughtry may be the new lead singer for the rock band Fuel.  Their former lead singer Brett Scallions up and left the band in February and they’ve been looking for a vocalist ever since.

Chris has his roots in rock n roll so it might be a good fit.  Plus, he’s got tons of female fans.  Might be a wise move on Fuel’s part to recruit this guy..

David Lee Roth on Way Out : Opie and Anthony are In

    April 27th, 2006

The latest news on David Lee Roth’s doomed Howard Stern takeover is that David Lee has in fact been fired and the

satellite shock jocks Opie and Anthony – aka Greg Hughes and Anthony Cumia will be taking over David Lee’s spots on terrestrial radio. The two shock jocks were on terrestrial radio about three years ago and were doing really well, when a boner move on their part – a church related sex theme – got the Catholic church all riled up and Got Opie and Anthony fired.

I’m not sure when the two will actually be on the air again, since the radio station I listen to that used to have David Lee Roth on now just plays music, but it should be soon!

    New Pearl Jam Album

    April 13th, 2006

Has anyone heard the entire new Pearl Jam album? See, I’m kind of a child of the grunge era – well, ok I was in college during the whole Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Sound Garden, Alice in Chains grunge movement, so Pearl Jam will always hold a special place in my heart. I did hear their new song on the radio called “World Wide Suicide” and I do like it.

The only problem I have with it is that Eddie Vedder is getting worse with mumbling as he gets older, and the words are hardly discernible – but hey maybe I’m getting too old just for saying that, right?

It’s funny – most of the guys in the band have cut their hair. For God’s sake, even Trent Resnor has cut his hair and looks like a normal dude now. What’s this world coming to?

As soon as I hear the new self titled Pearl Jam album, I’ll be sure to post a review.

Courtney Love Inks Lucrative Deal for 25% of Nirvana’s Songs

    April 4th, 2006

Bad girl Courtney Love is in the news again.  This time, it’s apparently good news for the bad-luck icon.  She recently inked a deal for about 25% of the rights to Nirvana’s music with an ex Virgin Records executive for an undisclosed amount.  Estimates of the amount are in the high millions though.  Rumor has it that Courtney desperately needed that money, so it’s a good thing for her.  Hopefully, they’ll do the music justice, and not “whore it out” for ridiculous uses.
